Jake's Brave to Shave Christmas Fundraiser was a Success!

"On behalf of the City of Calgary Community and Neighbourhood Services, East Office, Forest Lawn Area Office and the North East Calgary Adopt a Family Society, we are grateful for your kind donation towards the "Brave to Shave" fund-raising event. The money raised (approximately $3100.00), allowed us to provide low-income families with a food hamper and gifts, especially for the children, during the 2003 holiday season...

We gratefully acknowledge the following...businesses for their contribution to the fund raising event: Fairly Vanilla for performing the honor of shaving Jake Kuiken's beard and providing several haircut and style certificates for door prizes..."

Volunteer salon for Calgary Cares 2003:

Calgary Cares is the city's largest fundraiser that helps raise awareness and money for AIDS research. We were honoured to be part of this event. There were over a dozen models for our segment featuring local dancers from companies like Decidedly Jazz Danceworks.
